Ms. Ella

May 24, 2010

This is Ella. Perhaps the most affectionate little girl I have ever met. When I showed up for the session I was greeted with an enormous hug. As we walked around the grounds of the Pittock Mansion Ella was far more concerned with getting to hold my hand than she was about getting her pictures taken. As you can see, she was eventually coaxed into cooperating. I think I could stare into those big dark eyes of hers forever and not get tired of it. SUCH a pretty little girl and so much fun to be around. She thought sitting in the bird bath was lots of fun, but when we tried to convince her that sitting in a nearby tree for a few shots would be the same, she didn’t buy it at all – so we skipped the tree.

Landon = Cuteness

May 20, 2010

Can it really have been that long since my last post ? Holy smokes!

Here’s a few shots of one of my favorite little boys – Landon. Getting to photograph him throughout the first year of life is such a treat! He’s changed so much since his last session! The cowboy hat shots are hands down my favorite shots, but to be honest – it’s almost impossible to take a bad picture of this little guy. He really likes to stick his tounge out too -very cute, but hopefully just a phase!

Hat’s off to you Landon, I think you’re definitely a keeper and I can’t wait till next time!

Jude: 7 Months.

March 30, 2010

I’ve had a string of little kiddo sessions in the studio this last month and it has been sooo fun!  It’s hard to beat the outdoor shooting possibilities that Portland has to offer, but it’s also nice  (especially with the weather roller coaster we’ve been on lately) to crank up the heat in the studio, get the kid friendly playlist going on the iPod dock, dust off the strobes, and bring out the props!

This little guy’s name is Jude. He’s 7 months old and so adorable that I had to continously remind myself that it wouldn’t be very professional to steal someone elses baby. His little conductor overalls are to die for and he’s got one of the coolest knit blankets I’ve ever laid eyes on. Such a cutie-pie and a very fun guy to photograph!

Baby Landon

March 23, 2010

Holy Cow! It’s amazing how much a baby changes from their first session at 7 days old to when they come in again at 4 months.  I love how their personality starts bubbling out of them, giving you  little glimpses of the person they’ll become.   This is Landon, one of the most expressive little guys I’ve met. He’s sooooo full of smiles and giggles and has a pair of big, round, chocolaty eyes that can melt your heart in an instant. I’m so excited to be able to watch him grow up! Here’s of few of my faves from his studio session.

Ollie: Just 6 Days New

February 18, 2010

As promised, here are a few shots of Mr. Oliver (Ollie for short!) Lawrence Griggs at just 6 days old. He came into the world at 20 inches long, weighing just under 8 lbs, with an amazing full head of hair! His arrival came a little earlier than anticipated, but Mom and Dad were thrilled nonetheless.

Josie: My Favorite Ballerina

February 15, 2010

I’ve been blessed to get to photograph Josie on a regular basis and it’s been an absolute blast watching her grow up over the last year. Josie and her Mom came by the studio recently with her big bouncy horse, wooden trains, and an adorable homemade tutu.  She’s one of the happiest one year olds I know of and the session went flawlessly. I can guarantee that the sparkle in those big dark eyes of hers is going to drive the boys crazy in not too long!  Here are a few of my favorites:
