Aubrey & Alex

January 19, 2012

I love December weddings!  Don’t get me wrong – I love all weddings, but there is something pretty awesome about an Oregon bride throwing caution to the wind and planning a wedding in December.  What December 17th was lacking in degrees was made up for with smiles, carefree attitues, and a school bus.  Yes – a school bus, Aubrey and Alex rented a school bus to shuttle them and their rowdy group through the days events, just one of the things that make them completely awesome.

Katie & Mark

January 4, 2012

Katie and Mark are gorgeous, fun, and big-hearted. With clients like that it makes for a great wedding day and awesome photos.  Some of my favorite moments from the wedding include: Being warned by a cop on a Segway not to photograph in the public park (seriously Portland Police???), Their grand entrance into the reception to the theme song from Cops, And the INSANE party on the dance floor all night  (these kids from Gresham know how it’s done)!

Wishing you all the best you two, thanks for picking me to be a part of it all!   Here is a little sneak peak eye candy from the wedding day!

*The above shot was from my second shooter Garrett Beatty, and is one of my favorites of the day!

Matt & Heather

August 17, 2011

Well,  the last Westermann has finally  been married off! The wedding was perfect, and exactly Matt and Heather’s style:  lighthearted, simple, relaxed, and jam packed full of ooey-gooey LOVE!

I’m absolutely thrilled for you two!  Enjoy your pictures -  Love ya!

Hilary & Sean

June 10, 2011

I love taking wedding pictures of a bride and groom in downtown Portland – when the weather is sunny and the streets are crowded with people. I love when total strangers stop by to offer their congratulations, and groups of onlookers form behind me as I make the bride and groom let go of their inhibitions in front of the camera. Hilary and Sean’s wedding reception was at the Adrianna Ballroom - right in the heart of downtown. My favorite part of the day was the hour that we got to sneak away from the guests before the reception started. I posted a few of my favorite city shots below, as well as a couple from their incredible venue.

Yee-haw! We spent the weekend in the charming town of Pendleton (home to one of the ten largest rodeos in the world!) for Jessa and Deagan’s wedding out at the Rodeo grounds. It was a little chilly and drizzly, but the stadium and barns had tons of great cover and backgrounds, making for some of my favorite wedding shots so far this year. Corey and I even got to wear our cowboy boots!

Kelli & Ian

January 12, 2011

It was a cold and wet December day, but that didn’t stop it from being completely awesome. I absolutely love the traditions associated with military weddings and Kelli and Ian didn’t dissapoint. From the dress blues, to the saber arch, it was completely fantastic. We rode the party bus all over the city for pictures, with the ceremony at the Old Laurelhurst Church and the Reception at the Portland Doubletree. Kell and Ian were total all-stars, never letting the weather or tight time line bother them in the least. I even got to work with two of my favorite vendors – Misty from Luxe and Ryan from Focal Point (there’s a shot of all 3 of us at the bottom of the post).
